In a firm stand against fraternity violence and secret initiation rites, Eastern Visayas State University – Dulag Campus successfully conducted an Anti-Hazing Awareness Forum on February 13, 2026. This critical event focused on the comprehensive discussion of Republic Act No. 11053, otherwise known as the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018, which strictly prohibits all forms of hazing in fraternities, sororities, and organizations.

We were honored to have Atty. Rodolph B. Hernandez, Jr., Attorney IV and Chief of the Legal Division, as our distinguished resource speaker. Atty. Hernandez provided invaluable legal insights into the severe penalties and lifelong consequences for those involved in hazing, emphasizing the University’s commitment to protecting the physical and psychological well-being of every EVSUnista.

By educating our students and leaders on the importance of human dignity and legal accountability, EVSU-Dulag continues to foster a culture of respect, safety, and true brotherhood within our academic community.
