URGENT ADVISORY FROM EVSU DULAG CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION

Due to the powerful Magnitude 7.6 earthquake that struck Davao Oriental today, October 10, 2025, at 9:43 AM (epicenter: $07.09^\circ\text{N}, 127.09^\circ\text{E}$ – $62$ km S $77^\circ\text{E}$ of Manay), the ongoing 2-Day Academic Resilience through Gender-Responsive Governance and Capability Building Workshop has been temporarily discontinued.

The Campus Administrator of Eastern Visayas State University–Dulag Campus, Dr. Gerald Jayson B. Balanga, in consultation with the teaching and non-teaching personnel, made this crucial decision as the quake affected the event venue, LaYao Beach Resort in Marabut, Samar.

The safety and security of all participants and personnel remain the highest priority. Further announcements regarding the workshop’s resumption will be provided once the situation has been fully assessed and deemed safe.
