Under the leadership of Campus Director Dr. Gerald Jayson B. Balanga, EVSU Dulag Campus partnered with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to conduct a vital orientation on Cybersecurity Awareness and the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI). This initiative highlights the university’s commitment to protecting data integrity and fostering a secure digital environment for its faculty and staff. By integrating proactive defense strategies with official digital authentication, the campus is taking a major step toward modernizing its administrative workflows.

The program featured expert-led sessions designed to bridge the gap between technical security and daily application. Mr. Rodel A. Peleño provided critical insights into identifying and preventing modern cyber threats, while Ms. Diana E. Delima introduced the PNPKI framework as a cornerstone for trusted government e-services. These discussions focused on the transition to digital certificates and signatures, offering a roadmap for participants to move away from traditional, vulnerable manual processes toward a more secure and legally binding digital future.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A and a practical walkthrough of the PNPKI application process, ensuring all attendees were equipped to implement these security measures immediately. Facilitated by Emcee Bonina Carla B. Salvo, the distribution of certificates marked a successful milestone in enhancing the university’s digital resilience. Through the vision of Dr. Balanga and the expertise of the DICT, EVSU Dulag Campus continues to prioritize a robust, future-ready infrastructure that safeguards both government and citizen data.
