EVSU-Dulag Campus Undergoes Essential Basic Life Support Training 🚑
Students and faculty members of the Eastern Visayas State University—Dulag Campus (EVSU-DC) actively participated in a crucial Disaster Risk Reduction Management’s Basic Life Support (BLS) Training on May 6. The comprehensive training session, designed to equip the campus community with vital emergency response skills, was expertly led by Professor Charlie A. Ripalda from the EVSU-Main campus and held at the EVSU-DC Function Hall.
The necessity of the training was emphasized by the Head of the Administrative Office, Mr. Arnold M. Brit, in his welcome message. Mr. Brit underscored the ever-present risk of emergencies, stating that being equipped with knowledge about basic life support can make a critical difference when crises strike, as anyone’s life can be at risk at any moment. Professor Ripalda further highlighted the critical nature of time in a medical emergency, noting that waiting for assistance can be perilous. He pointed out the reality that time is wasted looking for emergency hotlines and waiting for responders to arrive, stressing that the ability to immediately administer BLS is crucial for survival in critical situations.
