Eastern Visayas State University—Dulag Campus (EVSU-DC) is proud to announce the participation of its student-representatives, Rica Arguta and Miken Karl De Dios from BSIT-1A, in the 29th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) – Leyte Provincial Elimination. Held at Hotel Alejandro in Tacloban City, the students demonstrated their commitment and statistical aptitude, guided by the mentorship of Mrs. Vanissa O. Catindoy. Their active involvement underscores the campus’ dedication to developing quantitatively literate and competitively prepared students.

The PSQ is a significant nationwide initiative designed to gauge and foster freshmen students’ knowledge and appreciation of statistics, recognizing its fundamental role in evidence-based decision-making across various fields. By successfully competing at the provincial level, Arguta and De Dios not only represented EVSU-DC but also contributed to the overarching goal of promoting statistical awareness among the youth, encouraging them to value and utilize data in their future professional endeavors.
