Eastern Visayas State University – Dulag Campus successfully concluded the BSIT Department’s extension activity under the DIGITS Project (Diverse Integration Guide for Immediate Technology Services). Held on December 12, 2025, at the EVSU Dulag IT Computer Laboratory, the specialized workshop focused on elevating digital literacy by empowering participants to create and enhance professional presentations, brochures, and graphic designs using Canva. This initiative underscores the department’s dedication to integrating modern technology into community service, ensuring that essential digital tools are both accessible and impactful for the local community.
The program commenced with insightful opening remarks from Campus Administrator Dr. Gerald Jayson B. Balanga, who emphasized the administration’s unwavering support for technological advancement and community empowerment. The activity’s success was made possible through the strategic coordination of Dr. Rotchie P. Castil, Coordinator for Entrepreneurship and Extension Services, and was spearheaded by Ms. Vanissa Catindoy, Head of the IT Department, whose expertise ensured a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. EVSU Dulag extends its congratulations to the BSIT Department for this fruitful partnership with the Nagkaurusa nga Sabangnon Katilingban Service Cooperative (NASAKASECO) of Sabang Daguitan Surf Camp, a collaboration that further strengthens the vital bond between the institution and the community it serves.
