The Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) Dulag Campus warmly welcomed University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz and other Key Officials for the annual Harampang and Campus Visit on Tuesday, March 25, held at the EVSU-DC Function Hall. The delegation included the Vice Presidents: Dr. Lydia Morante (Academic Affairs), Dr. Benedicto Militante (Administration and Finance), and Dr. Danilo B. Pulma (Internationalization and External Affairs).
President De Paz praised the Dulag Campus for its impressive growth from humble beginnings to a thriving institution. However, he emphasized that the campus’s continued development hinges on a crucial goal: securing the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for all three programs offered. This compliance is essential to meet the standard requirements set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and ensure EVSU-DC’s stature in serving its stakeholders.
The President issued a strong call to action, highlighting the severe consequences of failing to secure the COPC, which could include the campus’s closure and the transfer of enrolled students to other external EVSU campuses. He encouraged all administration and personnel to take the COPC preparation with the utmost seriousness, despite his confidence that EVSU-DC is fully capable of achieving compliance.
In response, Campus Administrator Dr. Gerald Jayson B. Balanga assured the President of the campus’s readiness, stating, “I believe that we have hired the right people ready for the job.” Dr. Balanga further acknowledged the collective and lawful effort of the campus personnel in ensuring EVSU-DC remains a fully operational institution serving its mandated functions.
