Angelica Reduban, a 27-year-old single mother from McArthur, Leyte, exemplifies incredible strength and dedication by working tirelessly as a siomai vendor at EVSU Dulag Campus during weekdays. Though currently separated from her partner and sharing custody of her children, her deep love remains her primary motivation. She emphasizes, “Ada na ako nagkukuha hin lakas tak mga anak… diri ko la gihap hira papabay-an” (I draw my strength from my children… I will never abandon them).

Angelica consistently defies negative societal judgments and stereotypes, focusing on her own decisions and her family’s betterment. Supported by her aunt and cousins, she works every day to provide, guided by her children and the desire to repay those who helped her. Her story is a powerful testament to a woman’s unwavering will and resilience, reminding us that a mother’s strength, fueled by love and faith, can overcome any challenge.
